    Meet at Rienzi to discuss the final book-club pick of the 2016–17 season, Victoria Finlay’s Jewels: A Secret History. Finlay traverses the globe, from the pearl rivers of Scotland to the peridot mines on an Apache reservation in Arizona, to find the history behind gems we adore.

    Homelands and Histories: Photographs by Fazal Sheikh celebrates a major MFAH acquisition of 75 photographs spanning the artist’s career. This 45-minute tour explores the exhibition and encourages visitors to discuss the artwork together.

    Bring your friends to a museum-style happy hour on Thursday, when general admission is free and the MFAH is open late! Enjoy music, drinks from the bar, and bites at the evening’s food truck.
