Outreach and Community Partners

Rienzi partners with Houston organizations to expand opportunities for learning and the arts.

Communities in Schools
Rienzi sponsors a yearly Leadership & Life Skills afterschool program at a Houston middle school in collaboration with Communities in Schools. Students practice acquired skills with a celebration luncheon and docent guided museum tour upon course completion.

Rice University School Literacy and Culture Project
"A Great Read" grant supported by the Sterling Turner Foundation inspires an interdisciplinary approach to the language of art. Rienzi's youngest audience members benefit from the collaboration with the Rice University School Literacy and Culture in the planning of July Family Art Workshops and the training offered to Rienzi docents who lead Storytime Tours.

Houston Grand Opera Studio
The Houston Grand Opera Studio is one of the most respected young artist programs in the country. For more than 30 years it has served young singers and pianist/coaches, providing a bridge between full-time training and full-fledged operatic careers. With the generous support of the Alkek and Williams Foundation, Rienzi hosts a yearly recital series showcasing the inspiring talent of HGO Studio’s residents.
